NVQ and ATHE are assessed differently
Confusing the two is the most common reason a submission comes back. An NVQ assessor wants proof that you can do the thing, in your workplace, repeatedly. An ATHE marker wants written evidence that you understand and can critically evaluate the underpinning knowledge.

- ATHE Level 6 Diplomas in Management, Business Management and Healthcare Management.
- ATHE Level 7 Extended Diplomas in Strategic Management, Healthcare Management and Education Management — postgraduate equivalent, often a route to an MBA top-up.
ATHE Level 6 and 7 units expect real critical evaluation and proper academic referencing. They are marked much closer to university standard than most candidates expect coming from a Level 5 vocational route. That step up is where most referrals happen, and where we are asked to help most often.
